Photo by Side Yard StudiosBeth Stewart is a fashion-obsessed passionate advocate for the Earth. She began her career with an undergraduate degree in Architecture, gaining an understanding of all aspects of design and knowledge of sustainable building practices through her time in the field. Extensive volunteer leadership experience with the Emerging Professionals (a committee of the US Green Building Council) led to a discovery of how to meld two of her passions: fashion design and sustainability.

As a result, in 2008, Stewart was the catalyst behind Redress Raleigh's creation. Stewart currently serves as Strategic Director of Redress Raleigh, focusing on future business opportunities and ensuring Redress develops its programs in concert with its mission.

Prior to graduating summa cum laude with a Masters of Textiles from North Carolina State University in July 2012, Stewart ventured into retail management with a mainstream corporation. She is constantly seeking new ways to promote eco-fashion in the Triangle, fusing her practical experience with her idealistic view of the future.

Stewart volunteers weekly with Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program - horseback riding lessons for children with special needs. She also enjoys visiting the ocean as much as possible, savoring a meal at any of the excellent Triangle area restaurants, and looks forward to every season of March Madness.
