Mas! Natural Jewelry

Today's new slew of sales on Fab.com showcases a great line of jewelry made primarily from the tagua nut.

"We use this natural raw material to create handmade, extraordinary jewelry pieces. We regularly visit our partners on-site and can thus personally ensure that the production conditions are both socially and ecologically fair.

Kotik Precious Metals

I just came across these rings designed by Yoav Kotik, a graduate of Bezalel academy of art and design in Jerusalem. To the every day consumer, Kotik's materials are useless recycling bin contents; metal bottle caps and scraps from global beverage companies. Kotik's team collects these 'precious metals' and give them a total re-birth, setting them into beautiful and stylish rings. Kotik Design Wishlisted! Kotik Design

Project Bikeway

As part of Bike to Work month 2011, Project Bikeway will showcase designs "which can make transitions between the bicycle, the office, and evening events, while still keeping the wearer comfortable, stylish, and visible". The Kick-Off event will run from 12pm-3pm, with Project Bikeway showcases at 12:30pm and 2:00pm.  Designers will be present at the event and available for discussion after the 2nd showcase.

Designers include 2 past Redress Raleigh designers - Christy Michal and Kristen Martinez - and one current designer - Matthew Mahler!

There will also be a "Raffish Ride" where you can get all dolled up for a group bike ride to the runway!

More info on the event can be found on the Project Bikeway website.
