Kendal Leonard

Re-inspired by a recent trip to Costa Rica, Kendal’s first wedding collection stems from “Pura Vida” notion of life; living simply, enjoying life, experiencing nature. The main aim of her collection, Amor Verde, is taking the fluff out of wedding design. Speaking both literally and figuratively, Amor Verde focuses on using sustainable materials and production techniques to create flattering and classic silhouettes using organic cotton fabrics, ribbons, cording and thread, peroxide bleaching, fiber-reactive dyes and recycled materials. The is to create a 100% sustainable garment that can be thrown in a compost-pile if need be!

Jana Saur of Jbelle Designs

Jana Saur created Jbelle Designs to showcase apparel and accessories that incorporate eco-conscious production with reused or found materials.  Jana has a background in textile design and has been creating laser-cut, wooden stamps used to hand-print patterns on garments.  Current Jbelle product lines include trendy and easy to wear women's apparel reconstructed from men's dress shirts, earrings, necklaces, and belts made from laser-cut wood, and children's casual wear.  Initially second-hand or discarded items, Jana reinvents each product as a new garment with innovative construction and printing techniques.  The entire Jbelle collection is available online at: www.etsy.com/shop/JbelleDesigns.  Jana also welcomes custom design orders through her email address: JbelleDesignsinRaleigh@gmail.com.
