Emily Kirchem is a graduate of the University of Tennessee (Business) and the Art Institute of Seattle (Fashion Design). She loves living in North Carolina with her husband and two children. When she's not designing and sewing, she loves to cook, read and run. She's been creating gowns since she was 7 years old (for Barbie) and appreciates the importance of fashion in our lives. Growing up with two sisters when money was tight, she remembers having to fight for her favorite pieces of clothing and how much each one meant to her. Her first "fashion" moment (at the age of 5), a pink and white leotard with her mom's leg-warmers, still informs how she makes fabric and style choices regarding comfort and style. In that outfit, she knew she could do anything and look totally awesome doing it!
