Melissa is a handmade jewelry designer who works with metals, organic and natural materials. She specializes in basemetal etching and homemade, eco-friendly patinas. She also uses upcycled, repurposed, reclaimed, and found materials as well. Reduce, reuse and recycle…..this mentality is a huge inspiration to her! She likes to incorporate vintage and up-cycled materials and reclaimed metals and organic materials such as leather, wood and fabrics into her work whenever she can. She also uses homemade patina recipes on her pieces to add unique colors and diversity to her collection—these recipes are free of harsh chemicals and are eco-friendly. In she work, Melissa strives to achieve uniqueness using recycled materials, positive words, and indie flare.
