Housing Works
I was just introduced to Housing Works (www.housingworks.org) and their efforts: "Housing works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial business that sustain our effort."
You may shop the items donated to their thrift shops online (some by auction, some right away) and while you're shopping sustainably and saving some bucks, you're also benefitting the 20,000 New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS.
If you're in NY, you may visit one of their 10 NY Locations in person, or go and visit the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe. Or both.
Antler Handlebars?
Yes, please.
I just really love this. And bikes are totally eco-friendly. If antlers are what you need to get out and ride, then so be it. Careful, though. Thanks to Kitsune Noir for this.
